Centennial Celebration

100 Years of Troop 31 · 1913–2013

In 2013, Troop 31 celebrated its 100th anniversary — a remarkable milestone representing a century of continuous scouting service in Rochester, New York. The centennial year was marked with special events, a commemorative celebration, and a look back at the remarkable history of the troop.

The centennial celebration brought together scouts from multiple generations — young men who earned their first merit badges in the 1940s sharing stories with scouts who joined just months before. The event highlighted the enduring power of the scouting program and the bonds it creates.

Special centennial patches were created and worn at the 2013 National Jamboree and the 2013 summer camp session at Massawepie.

A Century of Achievement

From its founding in 1913 to its centennial in 2013, Troop 31 produced hundreds of Eagle Scouts, thousands of merit badge completions, and countless hours of community service. The centennial was a testament to the generations of scouts, parents, and leaders who made Troop 31 what it is today.
