Patrol Leadership

The patrol method — the foundation of Scout leadership

The patrol method is the signature element of the BSA program. Scouts are organized into patrols of 6–8 youth and learn to lead and follow within their small group. The patrol experience builds teamwork, communication, and real leadership skills.
