Dining Room Ministry

The Dining Room Ministry is one of Troop 31's most meaningful ongoing service commitments. Located through Third Presbyterian Church, our charter organization, the Dining Room Ministry serves meals to those in need in the Rochester community.

Troop 31 scouts volunteer regularly to help set up, serve meals, clean up, and interact with guests. This service work fulfills multiple scouting requirements while making a tangible difference in the lives of Rochester's most vulnerable residents.

Volunteering at the Dining Room Ministry provides scouts with a deeper understanding of community need and the importance of servant leadership. Many scouts describe it as one of the most impactful service experiences of their scouting career.

Participation can count toward BSA service hour requirements for rank advancement and toward community service requirements for civic awards.

How to Participate

Scouts interested in volunteering should contact the Scoutmaster for upcoming service opportunities. All scouts under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult leader.
