In 1952, Troop 31 attended Massawepie Scout Camps for the first time. It was the beginning of an unbroken tradition that has continued every summer for over 70 years — one of the longest continuous relationships between any BSA troop and its summer camp.
Massawepie Scout Camps is operated by the Seneca Waterways Council in the heart of the Adirondack Park near Tupper Lake, New York. The camp has been a constant in the lives of Troop 31 scouts for generations — many fathers and sons have shared the experience of attending Massawepie with Troop 31.
Over the decades, Massawepie has evolved and improved its facilities and programs, but the magic of a week in the Adirondacks with Troop 31 friends remains unchanged.
Multiple Troop 31 scouts have followed in their fathers' footsteps to Massawepie, creating a multi-generational tradition that speaks to the enduring power of the summer camp experience.
